About Hanlons

About Hanlons Barristers & Solicitors

A longstanding Melbourne legal practice established in 1984, now continuing as part of the Parke Lawyers family.

A longstanding Melbourne legal practice

Hanlons Barristers & Solicitors developed over four decades as a considered, practitioner-led Melbourne firm — trusted by individuals, families and businesses across Victoria for advice on property, estates and commercial matters.

For decades the firm operated from chambers on Bourke Street, providing measured private client work grounded in the traditional standards of the Victorian profession.

Founders and history

Hanlons was founded in 1984 by Ken Hanlon and Brian Reckas. Together they built a Melbourne practice known for careful drafting, longstanding client relationships and a conservative approach to estates, property and commercial matters.

Over the following decades Hanlons became a recognised name in Victorian private client legal work, particularly in wills and estate planning, probate and deceased estate administration, and complex conveyancing.
